Cy Manifold - Twist in Colors (1963)

RCA Victor BBL 1213

Presenting Cy Manifold to you and to me (as I am also encountering him for the first time), a North American singer born in Georgetown (Guyana or Texas?), who had the right idea to travel (instead of living his life in Georgetown, wherever it might be) across the US and the Caribbean, performing Twist and Calypso.
In 1958 he had an even better idea: To enter Brazil and continue his career at the right spot.

More about his story you may read on the back cover of this album, while the compositions he performs you may as usual find and enjoy here:

01. Lovers Who Wander (Ernie Maresca / Dion DiMucci)
02. Multiplication (Bobby Darin)
03. I Wanna Thank You (Kal Mann / Bernie Lowe / Dave Appell)
04. Let's Twist Again (Kal Mann / Dave Appel)
05. Don't Play That Song (Ahmet Ertegun / Betty Nelson)
06. Twistin' USA (K. Mann)
